Shipbuilding sector
On board, food waste management is not just a question of cost: it is a matter of regulatory compliance.

The usual problem
Annex V of the MARPOL Convention prohibits the dumping of plastics into the sea and drastically restricts the discharge of waste from ships in coastal waters and special areas. Waste cannot be stored on board indefinitely, nor can a waste management operator be called upon.
How Biorgmax helps
The unit complies with MARPOL Annex V and converts waste from on-board galleys into water. For this purpose, there is a marine version made from AISI-316 stainless steel, which is more resistant to corrosion than the standard AISI-304.
Benefits for the sector
Less waste stored on board, fewer odours in galleys and hold spaces, and real-time monitoring of the equipment via the optional cloud-based system.
